COVID-19 - BUSINESS UPDATE


As the global pandemic of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to present new and unprecedented challenges to all our business’ and home life, Southern States Group would like to reassure all our customers and suppliers that we remain open for business. Whilst our No. 1 priority is the safety and wellbeing of our family, friends and employees, all sales, service, parts and administration functions are operating at 100% for all Refrigeration, HVAC, Roller Door and Tailgate departments.

We are totally committed to continuing our services to you during these difficult times and in doing so have implemented additional precautionary measures to mitigate any potential risks.

The following processes are just some of the variations and advancements we have accomplished this week;

  • Implementation of our Emergency Business Continuity Action Plan (EBCAP)
  • Increased sanitation through proper handwashing, sterilisation and use of appropriate PPE
  • Social distancing measures and time restrictions in verbal communication
  • Identification and segregation of departmental work force (including shift work of certain departments, relocation of administration staff over 4 of our own office sites, working from home, suspension of International and interstate travel)
  • Acquisition of more laptops to ensure flexibility and easy adaptiveness of administration works
  • Restriction of customer face to face visits – through use of phone or video conferencing
  • Increase stock holding of parts and equipment to support orders and contractual agreements
  • Minimum weekly internal memo’s and increased communication dedicated to updates of COVID-19 with all staff
  • Daily review of COVID-19 updates sourced from Australian Government websites included, but not limited to; www.health.gov.au/covid-resources, www.health.gov.au, www.health.gov.au/state-territory-contacts

Southern States Group is completing daily analyses of local and global supply chain impacts and conducting ongoing assessments of our supply chain operations. Whilst Southern States Group has a significant stock holding across our branch network and is confident of our ability to continue to supply as required, this may not be possible in all cases. At present, it will not be possible to provide a more precise date response due to the evolving supply chain situation resulting from COVID-19.
