Minimum Qualifications

  • Refrigeration and or diesel/automotive trade certificate
  • Experience within the transport industry highly desirable
  • Current driver’s licence
  • ARC licence
  • D and/or S licence (preferred but not necessary)
  • TK Certi-tech (preferred but not necessary)

Job Description

Are you a refrigeration mechanic or an automotive/diesel mechanic looking for a career change? The key focus of this role is to provide scheduled maintenance, onsite and in-house service work for Thermo King transport refrigeration units.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Mechanical experience would be advantageous
  • Understanding and diagnostic ability of refrigeration, air-conditioning and electrical principles
  • Brazing and soldering experience (preferred but not necessary)
  • Ability to understand schematic drawings and diagrams
  • Ability to work as a member of a team and with minimal supervision
  • Ability to organise own work time and prioritise work schedule
  • Ability to use initiative and have a strong work ethic
  • Excellent communication and people skills
  • Neat and tidy presentation
  • Punctuality
  • Good time management skills
